Joana Gil-Rico is a Catalan director and singer-songwriter currently based in Edinburgh. Her work includes music videos, commercials, and short films such as “Day Again” and the upcoming “Teeth” for SIN/RED. She also directed a piece for the film Cloud Atlas and contributed to internationally acclaimed shorts like Cargols! and FLOW: A Period Drama. An active member of the genre community, Joana served as a programmer at Lund Fantastic (part of the Méliès Federation) and the Fantasia Film Festival as a programming manager. She recently had her track “ERASER” featured on ‘BBC Introducing…’. Joana is currently editing her debut feature film, Chimera State, with her next project already in development.
